#2 The basic idea - The Timeline series (1)

I start building a batch of generic episodes covering each phase of preparing an EU R&D funding proposal from the initial idea is born until submitting the final proposal to the EU Commission. I have labelled this "The timeline series".

Here in the first The Timeline Series episode I dig into the basic project idea and what to be aware of when considering applying for EU funding.

The episode covers:

  • The origin of an idea
  • Strenght of the idea
  • European added value
  • Has it been done before?
  • Duration of the project and time to contract
  • Marketability and replicability of the idea
  • Funding rates
  • The aspect of project partners

The episode contains advice within the mentioned categories above and gives insights into the most important things to be aware of.
